Choose Camera and grant access when your browser asks. The scanner analyzes frames locally. It does not record video or send camera frames to QR Scan Online.
Position the code for a quick scan
Hold the camera steady and place the entire square inside the guide. Use even lighting, avoid glare, and move closer if the QR code occupies only a small part of the image.
Review before opening
QR Scan Online never automatically follows a decoded link. Confirm the destination domain and review any risk indicators first, especially when a code appears in an unexpected place.
QR image decoding happens inside your browser. QR Scan Online does not need a copy of the image or the decoded content.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the browser need camera permission?+
Permission lets the page read live frames solely for QR decoding. You can stop the camera at any time and revoke permission in browser settings.
Is the camera video stored?+
No. Camera frames are processed temporarily in the page and are not uploaded or stored by QR Scan Online.
